This is a serious question ... if Aptera offered a bulletproof upgrade option, would anyone other than me be interested in that? Just saw another Twitter video of a Tesla getting carjacked at gunpoint. This video even got Elon's attention. I would definitely pay more for such a feature in my Aptera.

Aptera could add Kevlar vests to the Options list - right below the Pet Accessories. Option. Also, bullet proof glass does not bend/shape well.

^--- video of tesla getting shot and saving a life due to it being bulletproof.
I would Like to assume that the the composite the aptera already has (since it is understood/believed to have the strongest crush test results of any car in production. One could reasonably conclude the body is bullet proof. (<-- I'm sure any verification would be great!)
The windows on the other hand... I can't make any assumptions about we must see a window get shot and the bullet not pass through it.
We can't kid ourselves. Cars that never need to charge with fantastic range will become a target as soon as someone figures out a way to benefit from a theft of a car.
I don't want to be riding in something that looks futuristic as hell (aka. major display of wealth), but yet one simple bullet ends my life while I'm inside.
https://www.motor1.com/news/460712/bulletproof-ferrari-458-speciale/ a lighter type is 156 lbs... who knows there maybe people who want it, aptera can charge to make adjustments for the third party to do this. i would imagine someone with a lot of money would spend money to prevent injury, and such people would probably buy aptera as a 4th 5th car, b/c of its uniqueness per price
this can be relevent when batteries get better too
A truly bulletproof option would likely double the weight of the Aptera and destroy the range.
I think the glass would be to difficult to make actually bulletproof without a major loss of range. But security like more cameras and ranforced doors is something to consider.
Aptera plans to use some Kevlar in their layup, and might be able to do a custom version with all Kevlar. I know a sailboat that was built this way for sailing in ice prone areas. However, there might be weight and safety performance penalties - for instance reducing the effectiveness of crumple zones - and it might take considerable design time to understand the consequences. My guess is that the cost would not be worth the design time and opportunity cost while they are working to get the regular production models out. For the time being, I think Apteras will be too distinctive to attract car jacking attention. Of course this could change if they become really popular.
